For the first time in its 231 years of history, Royal Copenhagen is introducing two services in black - Black Fluted Mega and Black Fluted Plain.

The Black Fluted Mega dinnerware, a youthful re-take of the classic Blue Fluted pattern from 1775, has become an international neo-classic, and now the Blue Fluted Mega welcomes a cousin from the world of fashion - Black Fluted Mega. Black Fluted Mega is being launched more as a designer object than as a conventional table service.

All items of Black Fluted Mega are assembled, painted and glazed by hand.

Although the source of this service is several generations old, the Black Plain service was only introduced in 2006. Its basic design is the same as that used in both the Blue Fluted Plain, White Plain, Black and Blue Fluted Mega services and White Signature service. Black Plain service can be used individually or to supplement one or more of the Fluted services.

It goes without saying that, like the latter, the Black Plain service is also handmade by a selection of Denmark’s most skilful craftspeople.

All items of Black Plain are assembled and glazed by hand.
